Bruce Baum is a pretty talented guy who just happens to look a lot like David Crosby.  Baum is  a comedian who has appeared on The Simpsons as himself, Hollywood Squares, Full House, Growing Pains, The Daily Show, Comedy Central, HBO and Showtime and  ABC-TV’s America’s Funniest People.  He was a creative consultant on ABC-TV’s popular Whose Line is it Anyway? and spent two years at Fox-TV as a resident short-film maker and sketch comedian on Sunday Comics and Comic Strip Live. He’s the author of On Hold and three other funny books.  He’s the creator of the comedy web-destination TheOuterNet.com. His band Noggin Blast has just released their first single titled “Don’t Drive. “   He regularly headlines in Las Vegas and other venues around the world, including here at the Tempe Center for the Arts this Friday, August 9.

Yes, those lazy, crazy, hazy days of summer do persist. Fortunately Tempe has plenty of cool things to do inside or outside under the misters.  Check out this list and view a complete listing of Tempe events, or call 480-894-8158 for more information.
