A fun filled Saturday is approaching Tempe!

On September 29th, Cruiserman Triathlon & Sound Wave Music Festival will come to Tempe! These two events are not your typical triathlon or music festival but definitely offer a Tempe twist to your weekend fun!
Cruiserman Triathlon- This isn’t focused for use of professional gear or master timing- grab your decorated beach cruiser, creative costumes and floatation devices, and flip flops to jog (or flop).
First you swim (float or tread) through the water in Tempe Town Lake, then roll around on your cruiser, and finally trot to the finish! Here’s the details:
8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – Packet Pickup & Day of Registration Open
10:00 a.m.- Beer Garden Opens to start off the race right!
10:00 a.m. Triathlon – Wave 1
10:03 a.m. Triathlon – Wave 2
10:06 a.m. Triathlon – Wave 3
10:15 a.m. Duathlon-
(option if you prefer to stay out of the lake! Same great price, same great event!)
After the race there are awards (including slowest racer), a poker run flop, and a bike raffle!
3:00 p.m.- Time to wrap it up!
Location: Tempe Beach Park
This event is for anyone 13 & up…21 and up get some beverages of the adult variety when you are done.

Sound Wave Music Festival- Think three stages featuring multiple music artists and live art exhibits, all within a giant waterpark full of slides and a giant wave pool! Sound amazing to me! This large scale electronic dance music festival comes to Tempe for its second year. It’s the first of its kind in Arizona and had over 20 international, national and local DJ’s last year. This year quadruple-platinum selling progressive house DJ and producer Calvin Harris will be headlining this year’s Sound Wave music festival. Others to look out for include: R3HAB, Adventure Club, Seven Lions, Burns, Z-trip, Switch, and many more!
