Arizona Spring Training Is Almost Here!

March is just around the corner, which means that Cactus League Spring Training is about to begin! The first crack of the bat will be on March 2 and games will continue through April 4.
Before you grab some friends and your sunscreen and head on out to the ballpark, you’ll need to plan your trip to Tempe, Arizona. Tempe is the perfect spring training home base. Not only is Tempe home to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, but several ballparks, including teams such as the A’s, Giants, Cubs and Rockies are located just minutes away from downtown Tempe. This year getting to spring training will be easier than ever thanks to the addition of the Angels Baseball Spring Training Trolley! Before the game, enjoy lunch or grab a drink with friends at one of Tempe’s favorite spots. With a large outdoor patio and an even bigger bar selection, Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill at Tempe Marketplace is the perfect place for a pregame meal. For big sandwiches, tasty appetizers and a large beer selection, head on over to Bison Witches on Mill Avenue to fill up before the game or after. Or, what better way to cap off a great day at the ballpark than with an ice cold margarita? Come on into Canteen Modern Tequila Bar for happy hour from 4-6:30 p.m. daily.
Take advantage of the beautiful weather and explore everything that Tempe has to offer. Rent a bike at The Bicycle Cellar and cruise the pathways along Tempe Town Lake and Papago Park. If you want to take a leisurely approach to seeing the sights, then rent a kayak and or electric boat from Tempe Boat Rentals.
